'150 Chinese miners replace fired ones in Siirt'

150 Chinese miners have already replaced the 450 miners who were fired after the fatal mine collapse in Siirt in November 2016

150 Chinese miners have already replaced the 450 miners who were fired after the mine collapse in Şirvan, of the southwestern province of Siirt, according to Kadri Yıldırım, deputy of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

The contracts of 450 workers were terminated on 31st of December after the mine collapse on 17th of November 2016.

16 workers were killed in the mine owned by Park Elektrik Corporation, which operates under Ciner Holding’s umbrella. President Erdoğan had inaugurated the mine that later became the graveyard of the miners.
